I simply love baking cakes for my family and friends. I have been addicted to baking ever since I was a teenager so it is no wonder why I am still hooked in doing this even after getting married and giving birth. It doesn’t matter what occasion it is or if there is even an occasion at all; I will use it as an excuse to get my baking pans ready and all of my cake making paraphernalia out of the cupboard.

The cakes that I usually bake are dependent on who I will give it to. For example, my eldest daughter loves chocolate so I usually bake her chocolate cakes for her birthday. My husband, on the other hand, loves caramel so his cake is caramel flavored. Unfortunately, after a while of doing this, I found myself getting bored with baking the same thing for them and this thought startled me. If I got bored just making them, then they are also bored of eating the same cakes. So I searched the internet and looked up some cake ideas that I can find. I hit a gold mine when I saw that I can make sugar flowers, or different types of icings as design. Now I need to practice making them so that next time, the cake I will give will look and taste better than ever.
