I was born with curly golden-brown hair, which gave birth to my nickname, Goldilocks. Actually, I like my curls very much since I never had to use curling irons or go to a hair salon just to get my hairs curled. I wear my curly locks with pride and my friends are often envious of it. However, like all girls my age, I still secretly dream of changing my looks. Unfortunately, my curly hair resists most of the products I use on it. True it is beautifully curled; however, it refuses to straighten up no matter what I do to it.

I gave up on the thought, until my sister gave me some hair straighteners as a Christmas gift. She said it was just for laughs but I know that she knows my problem and did this to help me out. I used it and was amazed by the results; my curly hair became straight and slick. The first time I tried it, my friends didn’t recognize me. I had to wave at them a couple of times before they realized that it was me. I suppose I’ll look very different since I lost my trademark curly hairs.

Don’t get me wrong, I still prefer my curly hair. It is fun to wear your hair straight every once in a while though

My girlfriend for 8 years and I will be tying the knot late next year. And since we will be making our own family we need a house of our own to live in. We both want something spacious but not very large. We also want something affordable and is quality for each dollar we pay for. And we also want a place where it is calm and quiet that is far from all the hustle and bustle of the city.

Our house has looked the same ever since we bought in when my wife and I got married. Honestly speaking, it hasn’t changed much over the past 14 years. Our living room is still the same living room with all the same appliances and furniture. Our bedrooms, kitchen, even our dinner wares are still the same.

Monitoring and running a business can be quite troublesome. Especially of you are in the delivery business such as me. We handle deliveries in between ports and warehouses and we employ a couple of drivers and have a couple of big trucks. It is quite a lucrative business however it is also a big headache at times. While most men would settle for black and brown pairs of shoes, plenty of women have practically all colors –red, yellow, gold, silver, green, you name it, they’ve got it. Their shoes have to match the color of their dress and their bags. Indeed, a former first lady from the Far East is reputed to have three thousand pairs of shoes.

With this evolution from the animal skin wrapped around the feet to the different types of shoes for different occasions and uses, shoe storage has become an issue. Fortunately, there are ingenious men and women, who probably have a lot of shoes themselves, who have designed creative ways of storing footwear.

It is finally time for a much needed vacay and Grace has wanted to go on a vacation for months. She finally got a two week leave from work and Grace is ecstatic.

Grace has yet to get a travel health insurance from her agent but she has already taken out her sundresses, shorts, sunblock and flipflops and placed them in her luggage. Grace is finally going to Santorini in Greece. Ever since she was a little girl, she had always been captivated with Santorini. The beautiful views, stone steps, cuisine, culture and of course, the hot men.

Grace will be accompanied by two of her bestest friends and they are extremely excited as Grace is. Grace has already made reservations as to where she and her friends will stay. They researched as few times online in order to find out what were the best accommodations before finally making a decision. They also took note numerous must do’s and must see’s in Santorini. Grace and her girlfriends will each bring a digital camera to capture memories and sights in different perspectives.

Grace can’t wait to get on board their plane to Greece. She can’t wait to fulfil her lifetime dream and set foot on Greece.

I woke up this morning feeling a bit disgruntled. I knew I had forgotten something very important yesterday and I just can’t remember what.

I pondered all about it during my breakfast. I didn’t get to enjoy my favourite meal of crisp bacon, scrambled eggs and black bitter coffee. I was more and more sure I really forgot something. After breakfast, I showered and scrubbed myself clean. I swept the patio in my backyard, all the while thinking about what it is that I forgot.

I got a cold bottle of beer and sat down on my leather couch. I pondered and pondered. I dissected every thought and memory of what I could remember from the past days. I knew I already gave Mya the number for the best Dallas pest control, mailed the parcel to Freddie as asked by my sister and I just did my dry cleaning last week.

I was beginning to get a headache from all the thinking and concentrating. I was getting more and more frustrated. Maybe I am getting older and more forgetful. Maybe I just need to write down notes or something. Just when I was about to give up, I finally remembered.

I was going about my usual routine in the office when someone called me and said a very bad news. I found out that my husband was hit by a car while crossing the road that morning. I was shocked and panicking. My boss told me to take some time off. I immediately when to the hospital and found my husband with flesh wound from the accident. I said to the doctor that he should do everything that he can to save my husband.

The next day, the operation was performed to my husband. After several hours in the operating room, the doctor came out and said that he will be okay. I waited for my husband in the room. He was brought inside and was told to rest until he has recovered. I was relieved that he my husband is safe but I then received the bill and to my surprise my money was not enough.
