Shaving has gone from a ritual to a tedious chore. Whereas before, there was the slow process of whipping up the shaving cream with a brush, and sharpening the razor with a strop, even before running it through your moustache or beard. Disposable razors spoiled all the fun. Sad thing though is that there’s always the doubt that the disposable razor really did its job properly and giving you a really close shave. Somehow with disposables, you have to run it across your skin one more time.
Even without the old world charm of a razor and the immediate response of a disposable, electric razors can hold their own in terms of shaving it as close as possible. The best electric razors use a lot of different technologies to ensure that a close and safe shave is done cleanly and quickly. There are electric razors which can only be used on dry skin. But now there are models which can be used even when wet.
Finding which model suits you best is a hard thing to do. What anyone can do is to give each model a try. Buying an electric is serious business if only because you would expect to be using the same razor for years and years. Choosing one may not be an easy task, but for the man who wants the best shave day in and day out, it’s a task he would gladly perform.
